She kept the cloak with her until her husband came home. Then she told him her story. “That Hebrew slave you’ve brought into our house tried to come in and fool around with me,” she said. “But when I screamed, he ran outside, leaving his cloak with me!” Potiphar was furious when he heard his wife’s story about how Joseph had treated her. So he took Joseph and threw him into the prison where the king’s prisoners were held, and there he remained. But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden (Genesis 39:16-21 NLT)

Beloved, if you are one of those people who ends up looking pretty bad no matter what when disputes are involved, then you would appreciate this message.

In our feature text, here’s Potiphar’s wife who sold Potiphar her own side of the story about what transpired between herself and Joseph and she had evidence to prove her story and I can’t even imagine how Joseph would have felt trying to explain to people thats it’s not what it looks like.

This was the story of his life. He’s brothers sold him into slavery and brought his coat of many colours stained with blood to his father and I can only imagine that if Joseph could appear to his father in a dream, he would be trying to convince him that it’s not what it looks like.

Also, he tells his brothers and his father his dream and they basically tell him off; who do you really think you are? Picture Joseph ‎trying to explain that it’s not what it sounds like. I am not trying to be proud, arrogant or boastful. I was only trying to tell you about my dream.

Beloved, have you ever been in a position where you are trying to explain to people that I know how this looks but it isn’t what it looks like. I know how this sounds but it isn’t what it sounds like.

With all the evidence against him, there was no way Joseph could convince Potiphar that this is not what it looks like… Ha but for the Lord. He is the one that sees what man cannot see. He was placed in jail… but the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison (Genesis 39:21‭-‬22 NLT)

Beloved, the former first lady of my home country is known for saying “dia is God oh” meaning there is a God that sees and knows everything. He is the One that vindicates. That vindication may not come‎ in the way you expect it to come but it will surely come. So, if this is for you, please know that “dia is God oh” and hand it over to Him.

God bless you in Jesus Christ name
