As you read through the Bible, you find out that the devil only has one mission; to steal, kill and destroy…nothing more…Right from the very beginning he appeared in the garden of Eden to steal, kill and destroy the wonderful work-free, burden-free future God gave to Adam and Eve…and he continued with the Israelites and he still continues till date.

God sent Moses to Pharaoh…tell him to free My people from bondage…Let My people go so that they are free to worship Me…but Pharaoh instructed the slave drivers in Exodus 5:9 (AMP) – Let HEAVIER WORK be laid upon the men that they may labor at it and pay no attention to LYING WORDS.

NLT say – Load them down with more work. MAKE THEM SWEAT! That will teach them to LISTEN TO LIES!”…And the Message translation says – CRACK DOWN ON THEM. That’ll cure them of their whining, their god-fantasies.”

That’s the plan of the enemy…to load you with HEAVIER WORK… MAKE YOU SWEAT…CRACK DOWN ON YOU so that the promise you received from God would seem like LYING WORDS… god-fantasies…you get so burdened from everything he puts on you that you start to wonder…but God…are you sure you meant what you said?…

Exodus 5:22-23 (AMP) says – 22 Then Moses turned again to the Lord and said, O Lord, why have You dealt evil to this people? Why did You ever send me? 23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people, NEITHER HAVE YOU DELIVERED YOUR PEOPLE AT ALL.

This is the same Moses that God appeared to by the burning bush and showed many wonderful signs…The Lord even told him what to expect. He said…I would harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he won’t let them go (Exodus 4:21) but when it came down to it…

It’s the same thing today…the stories in the Bible have been written for us so that we know exactly what to expect… but when it comes down to it…

Romans 3:3-4 (NKJV) says – 3 For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? 4 Certainly not! Indeed, LET GOD BE TRUE BUT EVERY MAN A LIAR.

May we allow GOD BE TRUE in our situation and EVERY MAN A LIAR. Psalm 46:10 says – “BE STILL, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

A lot of us study hard…We work hard…ROUND THE CLOCK…We are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve greatness and It’s interesting to know that even as far back as the days of the disciples, there has always been struggle to be great…The mother of James and John came to Jesus to ask for a big favor. She said in Matthew 20:21 (NLT) – …“In your Kingdom, please let my two sons SIT IN PLACES OF HONOR NEXT TO YOU, ONE ON YOUR RIGHT AND THE OTHER ON YOUR LEFT.”

Fighting for position… We all want that great position…But Jesus shows us a different way to achieve greatness.

The disciples wanted to know …Matthew 18:1-4 (NLT) says – 1 About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “WHO IS GREATEST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN?” 2 Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. 3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4 So anyone who BECOMES AS HUMBLE AS THIS LITTLE CHILD IS THE GREATEST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

AS HUMBLE AS THIS LITTLE CHILD…Jesus says…if you want to be great, start by being humble.

It’s interesting to know that some of the greatest men the bible talks about…those that made record, were men of humility

Moses, the man used by God to path the red sea…the one that led the Israelites out of Egypt had every reason to be proud but Numbers 12:3 (NLT) says – (Now MOSES WAS VERY HUMBLE—more humble than any other person on earth.)

Even Paul that wrote most of the books in the New Testament…He said he had every reason to boast… 2 Corinthians 12:6-7 (NLT) says – 6 If I wanted to boast, I would be no fool in doing so, because I would be telling the truth. But I won’t do it, because I don’t want anyone to give me credit beyond WHAT THEY CAN SEE IN MY LIFE OR HEAR IN MY MESSAGE, 7 even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.

Even Jesus; our Lord and saviour… Philippians 2:8-9 (NLT) says – 8 He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. 9 THEREFORE, GOD ELEVATED HIM TO THE PLACE OF HIGHEST HONOR AND GAVE HIM THE NAME ABOVE ALL OTHER NAMES…

If there is anything that never comes off my prayer list…it is Lord…please help me to remain grounded…even if like Paul…it means putting a thorn in my flesh

Psalm 18:27 (NLT) says – You rescue the humble, but you humiliate the proud.

God is looking for humble people to use to achieve great things.

May God give us the grace to remain humble. In Jesus name. Amen

2 Timothy 2:19 (NLT) says – But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”

Here’s something to make you laugh or cry. I’m not sure which one…

Yesterday evening, I received a text from a friend advising me that someone had stolen her blackberry phone. She wanted me to send a message to the lady asking her to return the phone. I thought she was joking but when she confirmed that she was serious, I sent the lady a message but she had already deleted all my friends’ contacts. My friend also asked me to give her BB pin to someone else so that they could invite her and ask her to return the phone, so I asked my daughter and this lady accepted. Do you know this lady had the guts to write “God’s time is the best” on her BB status…

LOL…Like my brother jokingly said, God’s time is the best for what?…To steal?

My daughter asked her to return the phone but of course, the new owner deleted her straight away

I laugh at this story but it’s also sad….A typical example of the state of the church today. I once heard of a prostitute that went to their pastor for prayer so that their business will boom and the pastor knowing their profession prayed. How do you phrase such a prayer…People pray to take another person’s husband…LOL…

But Galatians 6:7 (NKJV) says – Do not be deceived, God is not mocked…

ONLY GOD KNOWS…and He is calling people to repent. I shared this a few days ago. David prayed in Psalm 19:13 (NKJV) – 13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins…That is WILLFUL sins…Doing what I know is wrong.

He also said in Psalm 139:23-24 (MSG) – Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong— then guide me on the road to eternal life.

This should be our daily prayer

Jesus asked His disciples WHO DO YOU SAY I AM? Matthew 16:16-18 (MSG) says – 16 Simon Peter said, “You’re the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus came back, “God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! YOU DIDN’T GET THAT ANSWER OUT OF BOOKS OR FROM TEACHERS. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am. And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.

Jesus doesn’t just waste words… Who do you say I am? There must be great gain from having a personal revelation of Christ. The Common English Bible says…the gates of the underworld won’t be able to stand against it…That means with this revelation, nothing satan will do will take you down

For us, gaining this revelation is a process. Paul said in Phil 3:10-11 (AMP) – [For my DETERMINED PURPOSE is] that I may know Him [that I may PROGRESSIVELY BECOME more deeply and INTIMATELY ACQUAINTED with Him, PERCEIVING AND RECOGNIZING AND UNDERSTANDING THE WONDERS OF HIS PERSON MORE STRONGLY AND MORE CLEARLY], and that I may in that same way come to know the POWER OUTFLOWING FROM HIS RESURRECTION [WHICH IT EXERTS OVER BELIEVERS], and that I may so SHARE HIS SUFFERINGS AS TO BE CONTINUALLY TRANSFORMED [IN SPIRIT INTO HIS LIKENESS EVEN] to His death, [in the hope] 11 That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body]

PROGRESSIVELY BECOME means…proceeding in steps; continuing steadily by increments: progressive change…INTIMATELY ACQUAINTED means…To cause to come to know personally; having close personal knowledge as a result of study, relationship, experience

Paul said, to SHARE HIS SUFFERINGS AS TO BE CONTINUALLY TRANSFORMED [IN SPIRIT INTO HIS LIKENESS EVEN]…meaning you start to view every challenge you face as an opportunity to be progressively transformed into His likeness. I don’t know about you but personally, like Job, I have experienced suffering and pains especially in the past couple of years. It wasn’t funny at the time but I can honestly say there is a BEFORE and AFTER transformation…and I have come to know Jesus in a way that no preaching could have done… HaHaHa….The gates of hell did not prevail…I am stronger… progressively becoming like the rock Jesus talked about…I am wiser…I know Him better

This is what Job meant when he said in Job 42:5 (MSG) – I admit I once lived by rumors of you; now I have it all FIRSTHAND—from my own eyes and ears!

Satan’s plan backfired. Job came out of the experience with FIRSTHAND revelation of God …ACQUAINTED WITH HIM

Jesus asked His disciples, who do people say I am? What’s the rumour in town? Many of us are living with rumours about Jesus…false rumours…Rumours caused by false teachings or watered down gospel…Rumours shaped by our negative experiences without …perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly…In order words, without asking the question…God what are you up to? What’s the purpose for this experience? That’s why we are being tossed about…that’s why we struggle with living the Christian life. We think it’s too hard but Jesus said, “My yoke is easy”

Do you know there’s great POWER OUTFLOWING from a true revelation of Jesus waiting to be tapped into? Supernatural power…May it be our DETERMINED PURPOSE to seek to know Him so that we may always stand strong and the gates of hell will not prevail in Jesus mighty name. Amen

A friend and I were discussing the other day about how we ought to take conscious steps to make ourselves sin-proof and they said they would write notes with the caption “SIN YOU SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER ME” and stick it everywhere…It was funny but then the next morning, I came across what King David said…

Psalm 19:12-13 (NKJV) says – 12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. 13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; LET THEM NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER ME. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

PRESUMPTUOUS SINS?…OK Lord …What are you trying to tell me …What does PRESUMPTUOUS mean? If you’re not clear about anything, it’s always good to check until it’s clear… Common English Bible says – and save your servant from WILLFUL sins…Contemporary English Version says – Don’t let me do wrong on purpose… Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) says – Don’t let me do what I know is wrong.

David said Lord, please Keep me back else this sin will have dominion over me…I can’t do it on my own

Isn’t this what Paul was trying to explain… He said in Romans 7:15-24 (MSG) – What I don’t understand about myself is that I decide one way, but then I act another, doing things I absolutely despise. So if I can’t be trusted to figure out what is best for myself and then do it, it becomes obvious that God’s command is necessary. 17-20 But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I OBVIOUSLY NEED HELP! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time. 21-23 IT HAPPENS SO REGULARLY THAT IT’S PREDICTABLE. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but IT’S PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT NOT ALL OF ME JOINS IN THAT DELIGHT. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge. 24 I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. IS THERE NO ONE WHO CAN DO ANYTHING FOR ME? ISN’T THAT THE REAL QUESTION?

LOL…I couldn’t stop laughing but THAT’S THE REAL QUESTION and as you know, Christ came to set us free…But then we misunderstand His message of grace and use it as an excuse to continue in sin but hear this.

Hebrews 10:26-31 (NIV) says – 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and WHO HAS INSULTED THE SPIRIT OF GRACE? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay, “and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hmmm…My friend said they would stick notes everywhere to remind them…Just like when the Lord said in Deuteronomy 11:18-20 (AMP) – 18 Therefore you shall lay up these My words in your [minds and] hearts and in your [entire] being, and bind them for a sign upon your hands and as forehead bands between your eyes. 19 And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you rise up. 20 And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and on your gates

Again, David said in Psalm 139:23-24 (MSG) – Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong— then guide me on the road to eternal life.

Let’s ask God to search our lives…and then make this confession that SIN…YOU SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER ME…and then ask God to Keep us back from…

As a genuine child of God, there are times when you need to ask yourself a simple question; WHO IS IN CONTROL of my life? A true revelation of this question will give you a fresh perspective on how you view things.

I am sure with everything that Pharaoh put the Israelites through; he thought he was in control but little did he know that he was only a tool in the Lord’s hand to accomplish His purpose. All those times when Pharaoh said I will not let you go…Get out of here you lazy fools; I will increase your workload…who is your God?…He must have thought, I control your life and destiny.

Pharaoh believed he was in the control when he said “I will not let you go”…The Israelites who were the recipients of his evil works also thought he was in control but was he really?

Exodus 4:21 (AMP) says – And the Lord said to Moses, When you return into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all those miracles and wonders which I have put in your hand; BUT I WILL MAKE HIM STUBBORN AND HARDEN HIS HEART, so that he will not let the people go.

BUT I WILL MAKE HIM STUBBORN AND HARDEN HIS HEART…The Lord did not say that he will be stubborn…He said… I WILL MAKE HIM STUBBORN AND HARDEN HIS HEART and He said it again just as a reminder to let them know it would definitely happen…

Exodus 3:19-20 (AMP) says – 19 And I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go [unless forced to do so], no, not by a mighty hand. 20 So I will stretch out My hand and smite Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in it; and AFTER THAT HE WILL LET YOU GO.

Hmmm…The Israelites had to go through a lot no doubt and like the saying goes…’When two elephants fight, it’s the grass that suffers’ but the enemy is no match for our Lord. If you are in a position where the enemy has intensified his forces and it seems like it’s taking too long for the Lord to come to your rescue, know that your ‘AFTER THAT HE WILL LET YOU GO’ is coming…The Lord is in control and He is stretching out His mighty hand to bring about a big overthrow…The Egyptians you see today you will never see again (Exodus 14:13).

And your troubles will not be for nothing…You will not come out empty-handed… Exodus 3:21-22 (MSG) says – I’ll see to it that this people get a hearty send-off by the Egyptians—when you leave, you won’t leave empty-handed! Each woman will ask her neighbor and any guests in her house for objects of silver and gold, for jewelry and extra clothes; you’ll put them on YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS. Oh, you’ll clean the Egyptians out!”

YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS…There are some battles you have to endure so that God can hand you total victory because the reward is not just for you but for your children…your generations to come…

Know today that GOD IS IN CONTROL and you will definitely come out victorious

Proverbs 25:21-22 (AMP) says – 21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; 22 For in doing so, YOU WILL HEAP COALS OF FIRE UPON HIS HEAD, and the Lord will reward you.

Oh…how we so interpret this to mean the more good I do to my enemy, the greater their punishment is…So if my enemy asks for £20, I’ll give £40…That ought to increase the amount of coal that will burn them. LOL…Wrong Motives…well, maybe you’ve never been there… Maybe I’m all alone in this…Well God has had to do and is still doing a lot of work on me…PRAY FOR ME

HEAPS OF COAL…shouldn’t be misinterpreted as a revengeful act intended to punish its victim. It’s about the emotional discomfort one feels when you arouse their conscience about how they’ve treated you and the aim is to bring them to repentance. It is also a picture of the procedure undertaken by Aaron the high priest on the Day of Atonement (See Lev. 16:12).

Let’s look at Joseph’s story again. His brothers sold him into slavery and he left Canaan on camels…but that’s not how he came back.The first time he visited Canaan again was when his father died…Genesis 50:7-9 (AMP) says – 7 And Joseph went up [to Canaan] to bury his father; and with him went ALL THE OFFICIALS OF PHARAOH—the nobles of his court, and the elders of his house and all the nobles and elders of the land of Egypt — 8 And all the household of Joseph and HIS BRETHREN and his father’s household… 9 And there went with [Joseph] both CHARIOTS AND HORSEMEN; and IT WAS A VERY GREAT COMPANY.

God definitely knows how to showcase those He blesses…IT WAS A VERY GREAT COMPANY…one that included HIS BRETHREN…HIS BROTHER…Can you imagine how his brother felt the whole time after they realised he wasn’t dead…The times when they had to come to him for food…The time he brought them and everything they had out of suffering to a land where they were well taken care off…

Oh…they enjoyed every bit of it but they were never at ease…I’m not even sure whether ‘ENJOYED’ is the right word to use because even though Joseph told them it was all in the past, they still lived in fear because… Genesis 50:15-21 (NKJV) says – 15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “PERHAPS JOSEPH WILL HATE US, AND MAY ACTUALLY REPAY US FOR ALL THE EVIL WHICH WE DID TO HIM.” 16 So they sent messengers to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died he commanded, saying, 17 ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.”’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him. 18 Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, “Behold, we are your servants.” 19 Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for AM I IN THE PLACE OF GOD? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. 21 Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

‘HEAPS OF COAL’ REWARD…That will do me any day…Joseph focused on God’s goodness and not his brothers evil…And the Lord rewarded him.

Are you constantly looking back to find out what has happened to those that have done you wrong? Change your focus. Stop looking back to hear how God has dealt with your enemy. It’s a waste of energy. Your hands maybe too full to receive what God has in stock for you. Rather change your focus and see how God wants to bless YOU through that experience.

There are some people that Jesus wants to have serious conversations about the direction of their destiny but they are so distracted worrying about things they shouldn’t be worrying about

We find that when Jesus was preparing the disciples for the ministry ahead, He always had little chats with them about things to come…

One such occasion was in Matthew 16:6-10 (AMP) – 6 Jesus said to them, Be careful and on your guard against the leaven (ferment) of the Pharisees and Sadducees.7 And they reasoned among themselves about it, saying, It is because we did not bring any bread. 8 But Jesus, aware of this, asked, Why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? O YOU [MEN, HOW LITTLE TRUST YOU HAVE IN ME, HOW] LITTLE FAITH! 9 Do you not yet DISCERN (PERCEIVE AND UNDERSTAND)? DO YOU NOT REMEMBER THE FIVE LOAVES OF THE FIVE THOUSAND, AND HOW MANY [SMALL HAND] BASKETS YOU GATHERED? 10 Nor the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many [large provision] baskets you took up?

Jesus was talking to them on one level but they were reasoning on another level because their minds were so preoccupied with the cares of this life…Food that satisfies the flesh…How will I provide for my family?…What would they eat?…Where am I going to get the resources to do what you are asking of me…But Jesus is saying…O YOU [MEN, HOW LITTLE TRUST YOU HAVE IN ME, HOW] LITTLE FAITH… DO YOU NOT REMEMBER…How I’ve provided for you in the past?

Just like the disciples, you have been on a journey with Jesus were He’s been preparing you for the task ahead and anytime there has been a need, Jesus has always miraculously provided for you so why are you now so bogged down about unnecessary stuff… DO YOU NOT REMEMBER… It’s only when you take your mind away from those cares of this world that you would be able to DISCERN (PERCEIVE AND UNDERSTAND) what Jesus is saying to you about things to come…

Matthew 6:31-33(AMP) – says – 31 Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? 32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Don’t worry about all the things you have been worrying about…Jesus wants to talk to you about important stuff…what to do…what not to do…what to watch out for…He needs your full attention…Time is running out…You have no time to waste

May God give us the grace to let go of those things that weigh us down so we can focus on serious business

Just the other day, I heard a “well-known man of God” share his testimony of how an UNBELIEVER helped him overcome his greatest fear of flying. He and some other pastors were flying out to minister somewhere but then something went wrong with the plane. The other pastors were confident of their safely because this “great man of God” was in their midst…Hmmm…this man of God wasn’t feeling the same faith…He started thinking of all sorts…What’s going to happen to my wife…children? I haven’t written my will…He started writing things in small pieces of paper and tying them in plastic bags hoping that when the plane lands in water, people would be able to find them.

He tried to pray…He tried to recite scripture…’Even though I walk through the valley of death…eh… He couldn’t remember the rest…He was scared to death…Not until the drunk lady sitting by him woke up from sleep to ask what’s happening. We are about to die he said…we’ve been told to turn around and go back to the airport but we won’t make it…but then the lady said ‘WAKE ME WHEN WE GET TO THE AIRPORT’. Immediately, he said to himself…Great man of God where is your faith?

He learnt a great lesson from an unbeliever that day…We too can learn a couple of lessons from the Gentile woman (unbeliever) that showed great Faith

1ST INGREDIENT IS TO ASK FOR MERCY…Matthew 15:22 (NKJV) says – And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “HAVE MERCY ON ME, O LORD, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.”

Great faith comes when your position is…please don’t deal with me based on who I am or what I’ve done but because of your mercy…David said…Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies (Psalm 51:1)

2ND INGREDIENT IS PERSISTENCE…Matthew 15:23 (NKJV) says – BUT HE ANSWERED HER NOT A WORD. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.”

How many of us are in the ‘BUT HE ANSWERED HER NOT A WORD’ stage? Learn from her…That didn’t stop her…she cried out until she drove the disciples crazy. Remember Jesus’ teaching about the persistent widow… when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:1-8)

3RD INGREDIENT IS WORSHIP…Matthew 15:24-25 (NKJV) says – 24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”25 Then she came and WORSHIPED HIM, saying, “Lord, help me!” I remember the story of the sinful woman who worshiped Jesus with her alabaster jar of perfume. Jesus said to her…Your faith has saved you; go in peace (Luke 7:36-50).

4TH INGREDIENT IS TO ASK FOR GRACE… Matthew 15:26-27 (NKJV) says – 26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

Oh I know I don’t deserve it…but grace is unmerited favour…The sun rises on the evil and on the good; it rains on the just and on the unjust (Matthew 5:45).

And then finally…Matthew 15:28 (NKJV) says- Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O WOMAN, GREAT IS YOUR FAITH! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Apply these few tips and LET IT BE TO YOU AS YOU DESIRE

How privileged are we to have Jesus! With the things going on in today’s world, one can only survive with Jesus. Not that we are promised a trouble free life…FAR FROM IT…Jesus said in John 16:33 (NIV) – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE. But TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.”

To survive, you must make the conscious decision to FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS because a lot of things would be tossed at you with the sole aim of trying to get you to take your gaze of Him.

Peter started out strong…Its Jesus I am walking towards… Matthew 14:28-31 (NIV) says – 28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “COME,” HE SAID. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 BUT WHEN HE SAW THE WIND, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “YOU OF LITTLE FAITH,” HE SAID, “WHY DID YOU DOUBT?”

Jesus said COME…that ought to be enough…Peter had spent some time with Jesus to know that He could make it happen and He did…but then Peter SAW THE WIND…He took his gaze of Jesus…Then what was surrounding him became more obvious…oh no…this wind is going to take me down…All of a sudden, all your problems become MAGNIFIED…that’s all you see…You can’t see Jesus anymore…

Jesus has told us to COME…We are all walking towards Him…but along the way, trials, temptations and the things of this world have been positioned to cause us to lose focus. That’s the master plan of the enemy…That heavy stuff you are facing right now…do you think it’s for its own sake? Do you really think the devil is after your finance, job, spouse, children? His main purpose is to cause you to drown. It’s been known from the start…Jesus said to Peter in Luke 22:31-32 (AMP) – 31 Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! SATAN HAS ASKED EXCESSIVELY THAT [ALL OF] YOU BE GIVEN UP TO HIM [OUT OF THE POWER AND KEEPING OF GOD], THAT HE MIGHT SIFT [ALL OF] YOU LIKE GRAIN, 32 But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail…

You are bound to get OUT OF THE POWER AND KEEPING OF GOD if you take your gaze of him…No matter what you are facing, the one voice you need to hear is that of Jesus…TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD

Hebrews 12:2 (NIV) says – FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Message translation says – Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. STUDY HOW HE DID IT. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed…

STUDY HOW HE DID IT. STUDY WHAT HE SAYS…Faith comes by hearing His Words…
