Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise early, To retire late, To eat the bread of anxious labors—For He gives [blessings] to His beloved even in his sleep (Psalm 127:1-2 AMP).

Beloved, there are times when we have a very busy schedule that it can become overwhelming.
and we think the only way out is just to plough our way through – we think we must just keep going till things get done but this becomes at the expense of our precious sleep and our relationships including our relationship with the Lord.

This isn’t intentional. Many of us have the mind to try and make the Lord our top priority, spending ample time with Him; waiting on Him for His wisdom for direction and also resting in Him but we still find that we struggle but a while ago, I remember listening to Israel Houghton, the famous gospel artist, preach about the priority Jesus takes in our lives based on his famous song; ‘Jesus at the centre’. He said the problem with making Jesus our number one priority is that whether we like to admit it or not, thing pop up and regardless of how hard we try, we sometimes find that He drops down to number two and even further down our priority list as we get even busier.

To resolve this problem, instead of having a top priority list where Jesus is number one, he drew a circle and said we should place Jesus at the centre of it all. That way he never drops from number one position but is a part of everything we do. He demonstrated this using a wonderful illustration and I’m not sure whether I’ve explained it as well as he did but instead of having your top ten priorities listed one below the other, picture them spread around the edge of a circle and Jesus is at the centre of that circle. That way He becomes even a part of your eating and sleeping.

Also, my Study Bible notes say that “God is not against human effort but working to the exclusion of rest or to the neglect of family may be a cover up for an inability to trust God to provide for our needs. We all need adequate rest and times of spiritual refreshment. On the other hard this is not an excuse to be lazy. Be careful to maintain a balance: Work while trusting God, and also rest while trusting Him”.

Beloved, our feature text says the Lord… gives [blessings] to His beloved even in his sleep. The message translation says… it’s useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don’t you know He enjoys giving rest to those He loves?

When you make the Lord your centre priority, you can go to rest knowing that He is working on your behalf and when you wake up, you find that you are refreshed and that He has put things in place which then requires less of your human effort.

Shalom!

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez, saying, “Because I gave birth to him in pain.” (1 Chronicles 4:9 AMP).

Beloved, there are people born with a bright future, however because of what their parents went through, they alter the course of their lives. For instance, we see some mothers who have suffered in the hands of men training their daughters to be bitter towards men. As a result, instead of having a successful marriage, the daughter ruins it because of how her mind has been polluted. Same with some dads, they train their sons to be hard because of what they’ve experienced and the son ends up becoming heartless… They may look hard on the outside but inside, they are surrounded by pain and they seem helpless.

Our feature text introduces us to Jabez whose mother named him after the pain she had experienced and in Hebrew culture names were important. Your name revealed some characteristic about your birth, or a hope for your future and a person would normally manifest what they were called. The Amplified Bible Classic Edition says Jabez means ‘sorrow maker’. Can you imagine what they prophesied every time they called his name?

To be honorable means to be characterized by integrity and guided by a high sense of honor but despite his decisions to remain honorable, he was surrounded by painful situations. Who knows, maybe he was always experiencing broken relationships, disappointments at work or in business or ill health. Every letter that came through the post came with bad news.

However, one day he decided enough is enough. Jabez knew he was in the position to change things because He knew a God who could bring about a change in his life… He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” AND GOD GRANTED HIM HIS REQUEST (1 Chronicles 4:10 NLT).

He prayed to God to bless him and his handiwork and for all round protection from pain. He said God, please do not depart from me because without you I am nothing and would continue in my misery.

Beloved, Jabez was labelled with sorrow and pain but his prayer reversed the label. Today, you probably don’t think you can do anything about your situation but you are in a better position because Jesus died to set you free from every baggage. He redeemed you from the curse (Galatians 3:13); By His wounds you have been healed (1 Peter 2:24); He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Jesus said…You may ask me for anything in His name and He will do it (John 14:14). Why not pray Jabez’s prayer and as you do so, it is my prayer that every parental baggage is broken off your life and you become free to be the honorable person that God has called you to be.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33 NKJV).

Beloved, we know the story of King David; how he loved to be in the presence of the Lord! Growing up, he spent a lot of time in the presence of the Lord; writing songs, praising and just worshiping God. I’m sure that’s where he learnt all his special dance moves that embarrassed the life out of his wife. But then, there was Saul. Right from the very day he felt David was a threat, he did not allow the poor boy rest. David was always running for his life until Saul and his sons died and then David was eventually anointed king over all of Israel.

David had to fight some more enemies but immediately he had some peace, there was only one thing on his mind; the presence of God. Then David again gathered all the elite troops in Israel, 30,000 in all. He led them to Baalah of Judah to bring back the ARK OF GOD, which bears the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, who is enthroned between the cherubim (2 Samuel 6:1-2 NLT).

And not just that. David’s next mission was to build a ‘house’ for the Lord to live in… When King David was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all the surrounding enemies, the king summoned Nathan the prophet. “Look,” David said, “I am living in a beautiful cedar palace, but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!” (2 Samuel 7:1-2 NLT)

The Lord had to stop him. “David, are you the one to build a house for me to live in?

Beloved, David was the King of all of Israel, but his heart’s desire was seeking after the things of God first. Shouldn’t this be the case for us too? That is, like our feature text says to… seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).

What things? Oh… The Ark of the Lord came with blessings. We know David ran into some problems when transporting the Ark so out of fear he left it with Obed-edom… but then King David was told, “The Lord has blessed Obed-edom’s household and everything he has because of the Ark of God”. So David went there and brought the Ark of God from the house of Obed-edom to the City of David with a great celebration (2 Samuel 7:1-2 NLT). GIVE ME BACK WHAT BELONGS TO ME!

Beloved, we tend to get our priorities mixed up and run after the very things that should be running after us. The Bible says… And all these blessings shall come upon you and OVERTAKE you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 28:2 AMP).

Beloved, today, Jesus is saying “seek Me first and see what will follow”. Are you going to heed to His voice?

26. April 2017 · Comments Off on GOING AFTER WHAT THE LORD REFERS TO AS ‘SUCH AND SUCH’ · Categories: Blessing, Change, Choices, God's Plan, Jesus Christ, Motives

And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I WOULD MOREOVER HAVE GIVEN UNTO THEE SUCH AND SUCH THINGS. Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? (2 Samuel 12:8-9 KJV)

I WOULD MOREOVER HAVE GIVEN UNTO THEE SUCH AND SUCH THINGS…

Beloved, on Sunday, I listened to a message where the preacher focused on this line and since then, I couldn’t shake it off. Our feature text is about David who had an adulterous affair with Uriah’s wife and then killed him to cover up his mess. However, the Lord was so disappointed in him; “I gave you everything a man could ever ask for and if that was not enough, all you should have done was say so and I would have given unto thee such and such things…”

So, what is ‘such and such things?’ The New Living Translation says… I would have given you much, much more. The Message Translation says… And if that hadn’t been enough, I’d have gladly thrown in much more.

Beloved, this tells me that the Lord doesn’t have a problem blessing you likesome of us religious people think. All He asks is that He has our hearts. The Bible says… For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you will have wars.” (2 Chronicles 16:9 AMP)

So, the Lord did His search and He found David and… of him He testified and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart [conforming to My will and purposes], who will do all My will.’ (Acts 13:22 AMP)

However, we now hear the Lord say… Why have you treated the word of God with brazen contempt, doing this great evil? You murdered Uriah the Hittite, then took his wife as your wife. Worse, you killed him with an Ammonite sword! And now, because you treated God with such contempt and took Uriah the Hittite’s wife as your wife, killing and murder will continually plague your family (2 Samuel 12:8-9 MSG).

Beloved, this must have been very disappointing for the Lord and it sure spoke volumes to me to the point where I had to say… Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life (Psalm 139:23-24 NLT).

Beloved, the blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22 NLT). So, let’s submit our hearts to Him, cut out the evil, the wickedness, the greed, the covetousness, the competitiveness, the wrong motives, the disobedience, the idolatry etc. and go after Him wholeheartedly so we can find out what His such and such things are

06. February 2017 · Comments Off on THE POWER OF WALKING AND WORKING TOGETHER IN AGREEMENT · Categories: Action, Agreement, Anointing, Blessing, God's Plan, Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, Relationship

And the Lord said, Behold, they are one people and they have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do, and now NOTHING THEY HAVE IMAGINED THEY CAN DO WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM (Genesis 11:6 AMPC).

Beloved… Agreement is a principle that works regardless of your intentions and our feature text shows us that it was so powerful that it drew God’s attention when the people tried to build the tower of babel. He had to scatter them because they were trying to make a name for themselves outside of His plan.

Reading the story of Moses and Joshua, you also find the strength of working together.

As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But WHENEVER HE DROPPED HIS HAND, THE AMALEKITES GAINED THE ADVANTAGE. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, HOLDING UP HIS HANDS. So his hands held steady until sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle (Exodus 17:11-13 NLT).

Beloved, the enemy gained an advantage WHENEVER HE DROPPED HIS HAND so, to prevent this, he needed support. In the same way, we all need to hold up each other’s hands; in our relationships, our marriages, and in the body of Christ as a whole…. because there’s a message in the Psalms about how unity spreads the anointing and commands our blessing… How wonderful, how beautiful, WHEN BROTHERS AND SISTERS GET ALONG! It’s like costly ANOINTING OIL flowing down head and beard, Flowing down Aaron’s beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes. It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, that’s where God commands the blessing, ordains eternal life (Psalm 133:1-3 MSG).

Jesus said… Again I tell you, if two of you on earth AGREE (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and [everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I Am in the midst of them (Matthew 18:19-20 AMPC).

Beloved, it’s sad to see that the body of Christ in general don’t HOLD EACH OTHERS HAND UP… DON’T GET ALONG… DON’T AGREE… DON’T PURSUE PEACE. Rather, we look for ways to tear each other down; giving the enemy an ADVANTAGE but this is not the mind of Christ.

To win the world over, let’s start by coming together as one with Christ as the head of our homes and church. We can start by praying for each other. Like the song writer said… I pray for you… You pray for me… I love you… I need you to survive… I won’t harm you with words from my mouth… I love you, I need you to survive…

Beloved, let this be your heart beat this week…

Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Come closer so I can touch you and make sure that you really are Esau.” So Jacob went closer to his father, and Isaac touched him. “The voice is Jacob’s, but the hands are Esau’s,” Isaac said. But he did not recognize Jacob, because Jacob’s hands felt hairy just like Esau’s. So Isaac prepared to bless Jacob. “But are you really my son Esau?” he asked “Yes, I am,” Jacob replied (Genesis 27:21-24 NLT).

Beloved, yesterday, the Lord arrested me with our feature text verse hence the long post. Isaac had poor sight but needed to bless the right person. Two people presented themselves to him – One appeared quiet, stays at home doing nothing while the other is skilful, always out in the field and Isaac prefers him because he’s the one that would produce exactly what he needs. We are told that… Esau became a skilful hunter. He was an outdoorsman, but Jacob had a quiet temperament, preferring to stay at home. Isaac loved Esau because he enjoyed eating the wild game Esau brought home, but Rebekah loved Jacob (Genesis 25:27-28 NLT).

Beloved, Isaac must bless the person that gives him what he needs and here’s where it gets interesting. Jacob, the one who stays at home relies on another person to produce what he has overheard Isaac needs and then presents it to Isaac as if he was the one that produced it but it is Esau who actually goes out to get what Isaac needs even if it takes longer. However, he is hardworking and genuine though his hairy outward appearance may look intimidating.

On the other hand, Jacob deceives Isaac into eating what someone else produced. We are told that… Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come a little closer and kiss me, my son.” So Jacob went over and kissed him. And when Isaac caught the smell of his clothes, he was finally convinced, and he blessed his son… (Genesis 27:26-27 NLT)

Hmmm… The kiss of deception. Jacob deceived Isaac into blessing him but… as soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob… Esau returned from his hunt. Esau prepared a delicious meal and brought it to his father. Then he said, “Sit up, my father, and eat my wild game so you can give me your blessing.” But Isaac asked him, “Who are you?” Esau replied, “It’s your son, your firstborn son, Esau.” (Genesis 27:30-32 NLT)

Beloved, Esau took longer to deliver but he was genuine and Jacob wasn’t. Now, was Jacob chosen by God? Absolutely! Esau and Jacob both shared the same room in their mother’s womb and that’s where the fighting began… the two children struggled with each other in her womb. So she went to ask the Lord about it. “Why is this happening to me?” she asked. And the Lord told her, “The sons in your womb will become two nations. From the very beginning, the two nations will be rivals…” (Genesis 25:22-23 NLT).

Hmmm… their mother had to ask God about the children she was about to give birth to. No doubt Jacob was called by God but he had issues. But Isaac said, “Your brother… tricked me. He has taken away your blessing.” Esau exclaimed, “No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice…?” (Genesis 27:35-36 NLT). He had to settle his identity first. “Who are you?” – a question that could be offensive but he had to wrestle with God and deal with his character before he could move any further. He had to realize that he can’t move on as… Jacob [supplanter, schemer, trickster, swindler]! (Genesis 32:27 AMPC)

Beloved, don’t ever be deceived! As leaders, it’s so important who you choose. You must go by what you hear the Holy Spirit. Esau couldn’t rely on his sight but he could hear clearly. You may not see it but you must hear it‎. Also, feelings are deceptive.

Selah!

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I WILL MAKE YOU INTO a great nation. I will bless you and MAKE YOU FAMOUS, and you will be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:1-2 NLT).

Beloved, we all love to be blessed and we do well to claim Abraham’s blessings. In fact, there’s this popular song that says… Abrahams blessing are mine… I’m blessed in the morning… I’m blessed in the evening… and while this is true, I remember someone asking if we can do what Abraham did. The first thing Abraham had to do was to let go. The Lord said “I WILL MAKE YOU INTO…” This process started when the Lord asked Abraham to leave something’s behind and like someone said, “a man’s greatness is measured by his willingness to let go of things”.

We’ve got a few examples. Abraham is one. First of all, he let go of his homeland. And then when tested, he was willing to let go of his blessing… By faith Abraham, when he was put to the test [while the testing of his faith was still in progress], had already brought Isaac for an offering; he who had gladly received and welcomed [God’s] promises was ready to sacrifice his only son (Hebrews 11:17 AMPC). He chose the One that blesses and not the blessing there by allowing God to make him a blessing.

Moses is another one. In order to be a great leader used mightily by God, he had to let go of royalty. Moses… refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter (Hebrews 11:24 NIV). He didn’t let the glamour of this world hold him back. Instead he allowed God make him into a blessing.

Apostle Paul is another one. He said… I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead (Philippians 3:13 NLT). We are still being blessed by his writings today.

Jesus… stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave)… (Philippians 2:7 AMPC). Jesus let go of His throne, humbled Himself and as a resulted we are blessed with the gift of salvation.

What we have in common here is obedience, humility and dying to their own will. They had to let go of the things that we would naturally want to hold on to but then, these are the things that make it difficult for God to make you into the blessing carrier that He wants you to be.

Do you know that that thing you are holding on to may be the exact thing that is holding you back? Though Abraham obeyed God by leaving his native country, this was initially partial obedience because we are told that… he took… his nephew Lot (Genesis 12:5 NLT)… an act that delayed him until he eventually let go.

Beloved, what’s holding you back (Hebrews 12:1)?

The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it (Proverbs 10:22 NIV).

Beloved, have you ever heard the phrase “don’t settle for an Ishmael blessing?” Well, if you are like me and you’ve had so many Ishmael blessings, then you know to be more careful about settling for the things you desire.

What’s an Ishmael blessing? Well, we know the story of how Abraham and Sarah could not wait for the Lord’s timing to fulfil the promise that He made to them. Rather, they decided to take matters into their hands and went and produced Ishmael who was a product of the flesh (Galatians 4:29).

Most times, anything that adds sorrow and unnecessary toiling is an Ishmael blessing and dare I say that many things we settle for may have come from the devil because he is quicker to bless. However, God is slower to bless.

I was listening to someone teach on the various tests that God takes us through in order to mature us and one of them is a time test where though God has made you a promise, He doesn’t seem to be fulfilling what He promised you and when you look at your situation, there’s nothing that reveals to you that what He told you would ever be fulfilled. In such cases, God is the hold up not you. It’s about His timetable not yours and it’s beyond your control. Your prophecies are withheld by God and if you are impatient, with the help of the devil, you would try to make it happen by yourself and that’s when Ishmael is produced.

Another type of test is the usage test when God just leaves you on the shelf and isn’t using you. This happens mostly to people called to ministry. For example, John the Baptist who had to grow in the desert until the date of His manifestation (Luke 1:80).

With this kind of test, there’s no demand, opportunities or open doors for you and you are left wondering why no one is calling me. However, what God is teaching you here is that it’s not you but Him that has the ministry. However, if you’ve made it all about you, rather than spend the time receiving fresh bread from the Holy Spirit and building your gift for the task ahead, you will find a way out to open a door but it’s not going to be God’s will. God’s will for you is to use that period to make you dependent and strong in the Spirit and not on somebody else or yourself. However, if you go about asking for open doors, you are on your own.

Isn’t that nice to know?

So, who’s blessing you? Have you settled for an Ishmael blessing? If in doubt, look at your blessing again and perhaps you may just find your answer. Beloved, let’s settle for Isaac and not Ishmael who always comes before Isaac and though Isaac delays in his coming, though he takes time to manifest, he is what the wait. What you have to do is rest, trust and believe in God.

10. July 2016 · Comments Off on DON’T SETTLE FOR AN ALTERNATIVE BLESSING; A GENTLE REMINDER · Categories: Blessing, Choices, God's Plan, Jesus Christ, Restoration, Trusting God

The blessing of the Lord brings [true] riches, and He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God] (Proverbs 10:22 AMP).

This is a gentle reminder as some may be tempted…

Happy New Year to you beloved one. This is a year that the Lord is going to pour out His blessings on you like you’ve never seen before. It’s a year where the Lord will reward those that have diligently sought after Him (Hebrews 11:6).

However, there’s a ‘God’ kind of blessing that makes one truly rich and there’s a ‘man’ kind of blessing that man comes up with to fix problems just because we are desperate. This is the Isaac versus Ismael kind of blessing – human solution rather than God solution and the Lord has been showing me that the reason why we don’t always get the fullness of what He has for us is because our flesh can’t always handle the process, which at times can be like a Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-42) kind of process but except a seed falls down and dies, it remains a single seed (John 12:24).
The Lord’s kind of blessing is dependent on what you are willing to let go of in the flesh ‎to allow Him bring to you by His spirit (Zechariah 4:6). This year, letting go of what’s flesh will allow you to receive what’s spirit – supernatural provision.

Beloved, be wise to ensure that what you get has God’s blessing on it. Bread in hand of Jesus was blessed and that’s why He was able to supernaturally multiply it (Matthew 14:18-21).

A few days ago, we were singing this well-known song that says… “Thanks… thanks… I give You thanks for all You have done… I am so blessed… my soul has found rest…”

Immediately, the servant of God took the microphone and started confirming what the Lord had been speaking to me about. You can be blessed but your soul has not found rest because that blessing comes with so much sorrow and toiling but… all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors… (Hebrews 4:10 NLT).

The Lord’s blessing brings wealth, and no sorrow [trouble] comes with it (Proverbs 10:22 EXB)… neither does toiling increase it (Proverbs 10:22 AMPC).

Beloved, it’s a leap year – a season of great grace and supernatural favour. Doors would supernaturally be opened for you. Don’t settle for an alternative blessing. Don’t be like the lame man by the beautiful gate who was about to settle for regular alms but… then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—WALKING, LEAPING, AND PRAISING GOD (Acts 3:6-8 NKJV).

The Lord’s kind of blessing you will receive this year will have you WALKING, LEAPING, AND PRAISING GOD.

06. July 2016 · Comments Off on LET GOD’S WORD SHOW YOU WHO YOU ARE‏ · Categories: Blessing, Change, Choices, God's Plan, Jesus Christ, Obedience, Relationship, Spiritual Growth, Trusting God, Words

Put the word into action. If you think hearing is what matters most, you are going to find you have been deceived. If some fail to do what God requires, it’s as if they forget the word as soon as they hear it. One minute they look in the mirror, and the next they forget who they are and what they look like. However, it is possible to open your eyes and take in the beautiful, perfect truth found in God’s law of liberty and live by it. If you pursue that path and actually do what God has commanded, then you will avoid the many distractions that lead to an amnesia of all true things and you will be blessed (James 1:22-25 VOICE).

Beloved, I recently listened to someone give a very good illustration of our feature text. He said imagine a situation where you stand in front of a mirror and even though you are wearing tattered clothes, when you look into the mirror, you see yourself properly dressed. You take your eyes off the mirror, look back at yourself and you see tattered clothes but when you remove your eyes from yourself and look into the mirror again, you see that you are properly dressed. They then asked the question; “which image would you rather look at?” I bet everyone in their right mind would say the image they see in the mirror. I know that’s the image I want to see and that’s the image that God’s word shows us.

The word of God shows you who you truly are and as you continue to look into His word and put the word into action, in no time, the tattered image you see in the physical would eventually line up with the perfect image you see in your mirror.

Beloved, I’ve noticed that we have many frustrated Christians; people that have been Christians for years but are frustrated because they don’t seem to see things change for them. However, last year, I made a decision to put everything aside and go after the God of the Bible and do exactly what He says to me because something wasn’t adding up and God is not a liar (Numbers 23:19). The journey started rough but I can say that this has certainly been my most blessed year; something that’s hard to explain just yet.

According to my Bible notes, “God the Father is the giver of all things and is looking for every opportunity to bless us. But many people have difficulty trusting and receiving good things, even when those things come from God. The problem is that we not only have trouble trusting God’s work in our lives, but WE ALSO DON’T ALWAYS RESPOND TO GOD’S VOICE. PEOPLE OFTEN HEAR THE SCRIPTURES BUT DON’T REALLY LISTEN. PEOPLE STORE TRUTHS IN THEIR BRAINS BUT NEVER PUT THEM TO USE”.

SELAH [PAUSE, AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT]!!!

Beloved, God’s word shows you who you are and then helps you become who you are. So, if you don’t do what it tells you to do, you don’t become who you are.

SELAH [PAUSE, AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT]!!!
